Valley art events in full bloom
Just like the spring blooms, art events are sprouting up all over town. Here are details on some events:
■ A First Friday art opening reception will be from 6–9 p.m. Friday, April 5, at +1 Gallery, 225 N. Fifth St., Suite 215, in the Alpine Bank Building.
The Deja Vu show features an eight-piece print series by Hayley Anna Nikkel.

■ The 37th annual Colorado Mesa University Juried Student Exhibit will be on display during a First Friday art reception from 7–9 p.m. Friday, April 5, at The Art Center, 1803 N. Seventh St.

■ Grand Junction City Hall will host an opening art exhibit reception from 5:50–7 p.m. Friday, April 5, at 250 N. Fifth St.
The three-month exhibit comprises 3-D hanging tubes by Color Creek Fiber Art, wire art by Kristian Hartter, and the School District 51 Senior Show. Call 254-3866 for information.
■ Works by nine photographers from the Thunder Mountain Camera Club will be on display through April and will be featured during an opening reception from 1–4 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Frame Depot, 529 Bogart Lane.

■ The Palisade Art Lovers 33rd annual Peach Blossom Art Show is set to begin at the Palisade Veterans Memorial Building, 120 W. Eighth St., in Palisade.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 11; 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. April 12; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 13 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 14.
