Art events plan openings
There’s no fooling around when it comes to art openings in the Grand Valley.
Here are a number of art events happenings to choose from:
The Raw-kabilly Art Gallery Show opening will be from 6–10 p.m. Friday, April 1, at The Raw Canvas, 755 Rood Ave.
The opening will include a car and motorcycle show from 6–8 p.m., and Flat Top Reed will perform from 7–9:30 p.m.
The art show features works from 11 artists and will be on display through May 31.

The Art Center’s First Friday art reception will feature the 35th annual Mesa State College All Campus Exhibit.
The exhibit, which will display artwork by Mesa State students of any major will be Friday, April 1, at the center, 1803 N. Seventh St.
An awards presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the reception from 7–9 p.m.

Monoprints, photographs and crystal glazed porcelain created by Piera Kllanxhja will be on display at an April Fools’ Day art opening from 5–9 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Planet Wines, 420 Main St. Call 424-5432 for information.
Paintings by Barbara Churchly, photography by Casey Cowgill, ceramics by Lori Raper and works by The Outsiders will be on display through June 30 at Grand Junction City Hall, 250 N. Fifth St.
