Artspace and Open Studios Tour from Fruita to Palisade May 1-2

More than 70 artists will be featured as part of the Artspace and Open Studios Tour.

The free, self-guided tour will allow participants to visit artists in their creative spaces from Fruita to Palisade from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 1, and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 2.

The tour offers to opportunity to view art in a variety of media: sculpture, jewelry, pastel and oil paintings, pottery, photography, fiber arts and more. Some of the artists are recognition regionally and nationally.

A tour map detailing participating artists and their specialty can be downloaded at http://www.artspacecolorado.org or picked up at a number of locations in the valley.

Some of the map pick-up locations include Aspen Coffee, the Hot Tomato and the Visitor Center in Fruita; the Grand Junction Visitor and Convention Bureau, Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Department, The Art Center, Coffee Muggers, Meadowlark Garden, and Planet Earth & the 4 Directions Gallery in Grand Junction; and the Chamber of Commerce, town hall, Wedel Pottery and The Wine Country Inn in Palisade.
