Drug possession suspected
David George Rigsby, 37, 2844 Oxford Ave., was arrested Thursday night on suspicion of drug possession.
Mesa County sheriff’s deputies stopped Rigsby in the 500 block of 32 Road for a traffic violation, according to the Sheriff’s Department. He was in violation of his parole, the Sheriff’s Department reported, and in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
He was arrested on suspicion of drug and drug paraphernalia possession, driving with a restrained license and without proof of insurance and failing to stop at a sign.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Shelley Waters, 40, address unavailable, was arrested May 27 in the 2800 block of North Avenue on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
■ Trudy Sierra, 34, was issued a summons early Monday morning near North Second Street and White Avenue on suspicion of prohibited use of a weapon.
■ Items valued at less than $1,000 were stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Chipeta Avenue on Monday afternoon. Damage of less than $500 was caused.
■ Property valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from a residence in the 900 block of White Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.
■ Zachariah Frease, 31, address unavailable, was arrested in the 600 block of Main Street early Thursday morning on suspicion of violating a protection order.
■ Karl Odell Carothers, 33, 2853 North Ave., was arrested Thursday morning in the 2600 block of Unaweep Avenue on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and providing a false name.
■ Kevin Law, 26, was issued a summons Thursday afternoon in the 1800 block of Orchard Avenue on suspicion of possessing less than 2 ounces of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
■ Koi fish and items from a vehicle valued at $3,200 were stolen from the 2100 block of Broadway on Thursday morning.
■ Alvaro Iven Carbajal, 18, 480 28 1/4 Road, was arrested Thursday evening on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and having two outstanding warrants.
■ David Scott Pearson, 43, 480 Tracy Drive, No. 1, was arrested Friday night on suspicion of driving with a revoked license and with no proof of insurance and resisting arrest.
