Library offers electronic books, help
If you’ve switched your reading to a Nook, Kindle or other e-reader, Mesa County Libraries still has plenty to offer you.
You can borrow a number of electronic books through the library, and there are a number of workshops to help you learn how to download those books.
The workshops will be offered at the following times, dates and locations:
■ 6 p.m. Monday at the Central Library, which at its temporary location at First Street and Gunnison Avenue.
■ 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Fruita Branch.
■ 2 p.m. Friday at the Orchard Mesa Branch.
■ 2 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Collbran Branch.
■ 6 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Palisade Branch.
■ 6 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Central Library.
■ 6 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Clifton Branch.
The workshops are demonstration only. Individual instruction can be scheduled by making a Book A Librarian appointment at 243-4442.
Those with e-readers, tablet computers, laptops or other devices can get general technology answers and information about downloading library materials at Tech Table Tuesdays.
Upcoming Tech Table Tuesdays are set for noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Jan. 15, 22 and 29 at the Central Library. Help is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
