Book-signing set for two authors

A book-signing is planned for local authors Carroll Multz and Judith Blevins from 1–3 p.m. Saturday at River City Bagels, 936 North Ave.

Multz will sign his three legal thrillers “Justice Denied,” “Deadly Deception” and “License to Convict.”

Blevins will sign her novel “Double Jeopardy.”

Poetry prize makes call for entries

 

The submission deadline for the 15th annual Mark Fischer Poetry Prize is April 5.

Named for a Telluride poet, this contest awards $200 for first prize, $250 for second, $100 for third and $50 for honorable mention.

“Prizes will be awarded to the entry that best exhibits the qualities of originality, novelty, complex meaning, linguistic skill and wit. The wilder the better. All styles and content matter are acceptable,” the call for entries said.

Those interested can make a submission at telluridearts.org (look for the contest name under the “for artists” tab).
