Well-known photographer John Fielder will make the presentation “Colorado’s Great Outdoors: Celebrating 20 Years of Lottery-Funded Lands” at a benefit event for the Mesa Land Trust.

Fielder will present a slide show from his latest books — “Colorado’s Great Outdoors — Celebrating 20 Years of Lottery-Funded Lands” and “John Fielder’s Guide to Colorado’s Great Outdoors” — at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Colorado Mesa University’s University Center Ballroom, 1455 N. 12th St.

Tickets cost $10 and may be purchased at mesalandtrust.org, by calling 263-5443 or at the door.

Fielder’s book will be for sale at the event and can be autographed, and there will be a silent auction for a print of a photo taken locally by Fielder.

He also will teach a photography class at Horsethief Ranch on the Colorado River from 7:30–11:30 a.m. Sunday.

The class is limited to 12 participants, and costs $200 per person. Call 263-5443 to register for the class.
