Poet to read her work at three events

Poet Kate Kingston will be featured in three Western Slope events planned for the Talking Gourds Tour.

Kingston will give readings of her poetry at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Arroyo in Telluride, 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cimarron Books in Ridgway and 7 p.m. Thursday at Lithic Bookstore and Gallery in Fruita.

Kingston’s two books of poetry are titled “History of Grey” and “Shaking the Kaleidoscope.”

Store highlights beadwork artist, author

 

Crystal Books & Gifts will participate in the Downtown Art Festival by hosting an author and beadwork artist Virginia Jensen.

Jensen is the author of three beadwork books and will be giving beadwork demonstrations as well as signing copies of her books from 6–8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the store at 439 Main St.
