Writers’ Forum hosts member reading
The Western Colorado Writers’ Forum will host a member reading titled “Singing in the Mind” on Friday, Oct. 12, at 800 Colorado Ave.
A social hour will go from 6:30–7:30 p.m. and the member-only reading will be from 7:30–9:30 p.m.
There will be wine and hot drinks and forum members are asked to bring a favorite appetizer.
The event is free to all members, $5 to visiting guests.

Author book-signings schedule
M. John Fayhee, editor of the Mountain Gazette, will be reading from and signing his books from 2–4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 2451 Patterson Road.
Fayhee’s books are “The Colorado Mountain Companion: A Potpourri of Useful Miscellany from the Highest Parts of the Highest State” and “Smoke Signals: Wayward Journeys Through the Old Heart of the New West.”
Pamela Hurd, author of “Switch Witch: An Old Fashioned Witch Learns a New Trick,” will be at a book-signing from 3–5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Hastings Books, Music and Video, 2401 North Ave.
“Switch Witch” focuses on friendship and how important it is.
