Off the Shelf highlights 2 authors
Authors Marcus Straub and Jim Hale will be featured at the next Off the Shelf Author Series event at Crystal Books and Gifts.
The event will be from 6–7 p.m. Thursday at the store at 439 Main St.
Straub’s books are “Is it Fun Being You?” and “Unlease Your Greatest Life.” He will draw from his methods as a life coach to speak about “how to create the life that we really want,” according to a news release.
Hale will discuss his newest book, “The Ascent: Perspectives from High Places on Life, Love and Leadership.” Hale also is the author of “An Alaskan Life of High Adventure.”

GJ author’s book receives award
“Whatever Happened to Will,” by Grand Junction author Jerry Moorman, recently received the third-place award for Fiction: Action Adventure at the Colorado Independent Publishers’ Association’s EVVY Awards.
Moorman is a former Colorado Mesa University professor of business. His other books include “A Body Less Perfect,” “Coahoma Street” and “Killer Tuition.”
