Children’s choir to host two guest jazz groups

The upcoming Grand Valley Children’s Choir Spring Concert will feature two guest jazz groups.
Hot Tub Jazz, directed by Scott Betts, and Smaz, a Central High School jazz ensemble, will perform at the concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1, in the Central High School auditorium, 550 Warrior Way.

The children’s choir is made up of 76 fourth- through sixth-graders from more than 20 public and private elementary and middle schools in the Grand Valley.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $2.50 for students and children. Tickets can be purchased at Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra office, 225 N. Fifth St., Roper Music, 136 N. Fifth St., and at the door.

The children’s choir is a member of the Grand Junction Musical Arts Association.
