Entrance to just the contra dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. costs $7 for adults and $3 for ages 10–17. A beginner’s lesson starts at 7 p.m.
The family dance (slightly easier and for all ages) starts earlier from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and costs $4 for adults, $2 for kids or $10 for the entire family.
Similar to square dancing, contra dancing is a folk style of dance for couples and groups. A caller leads the dance instruction.
Tom Davis will instruct and call the family dance. Ron Young will call the contra dance later in the night.
The community hall in Palisade is located at Eighth and Main streets. For more information, call 243-6736.
