Briefs: OA Dive In Movie December 26, 2009

Fruita Rec brings back Dive In Movie

Just because, baby, it’s cold outside doesn’t mean the swimsuit must stay in hiding.

City of Fruita Parks and Recreation has brought back December Dive In Movies at Fruita Monument High School’s indoor pool, 1815 Wildcat Ave.

The movie and swim time is from 1:30–3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28.

For $5 per person (children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult) watch “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” eat pizza, drink soda pop and swim.

The pool can only hold 50 people so arrive early to guarantee entry. Swimmers are allowed to bring floats to lounge on. Lifeguards will be on duty. The movie will be projected onto a big wall above the pool.

“Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” rated PG, is set before and during Harry’s third year at the wizardry school Hogwarts. Once again, his life is in danger, but not everything is what it seems. The regular cast of creepy and cool characters are back.
