Celebrate the harvest at one of many pumpkin patches, mazes

Harvest time is in the air and a number of pumpkin patch and corn maze attractions will open soon.

■ The Moon Farm pumpkin patch opening day will be Saturday, Sept. 30. Moon Farm is at 1360 18 1/2 Road in Fruita. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, through October. Admission is $7 per person, ages 4 and older.

A variety of pumpkins will be sold by size. Moon Farm offers hayrides, a petting zoo, themed corn maze, a haunted straw maze, a creepy clown house, haunted castle, haunted Egypt and more. Go to moonfarm.net for information.

■ The Lower Valley Pumpkin Patch will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1901 O Road, in Fruita, near the Fruita post office. 

“We have acres of gorgeous pumpkins and very affordable prices,” a news release said. Call 270-7060 for information.

■ DeVries Friendly Farm Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch, 60542 Gunnison Road, in Olathe is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Night mazes will take place Fridays and Saturdays in October. Call 323-6559 for information.

■ Studt’s Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze at 21 1/2 and I 1/2 roads will open Sunday, Oct. 1. Through October Studt’s will offer a number of family-friendly activities as well as the Dark Acres Haunted Corn Maze.
