Cheerleading in Texas subject of first MET play at CMU

“Vanities,” a bittersweet comedy that chronicles the lives of three Texas cheerleaders, will open the MET season at Colorado Mesa University with performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 10–12.

The Mesa Experimental Theatre, MET, is a versatile box-shaped theater that seats up to 150 people. It is in the Moss Performing Arts Center, 1231 N. 12th St.

“Vanities,” which was written by Jack Heifner, will be directed by CMU theater instructor Shay Lydick.

Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for students. Tickets are available at the box office by calling 248-1604 or at coloradomesa.edu/mosstickets.
