Chocolate, art await stroll through Palisade

Palisade will be busy with chocolate and art openings on Saturday, Nov. 30, offering plenty of opportunities for folks to take in a little of both.

Eight Palisade stores and shops will host the Art and Chocolate Walk from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The holiday event encourages shoppers to check out the art and specialty shops and receive free chocolate along the way.

Participants who complete their punch card for the Walk at all eight venues will be entered to win a gift basket. Maps are available at the Art and Chocolate Walk participant locations: Casual Gal Silversmith, Slice o’ Life Bakery, Lupita’s, Wedel Pottery, Deb’s Funky Folk Art, Lavender Lady, Everything Collectible and The Blue Pig Gallery.

Then, from 5–8 p.m., there will be the grand opening of The Art Cellar, a student and emerging artist gallery, located downstairs at The Blue Pig Gallery, 301 S. Main St. The grand opening reception will feature wine from Grande River Winery, hors d’oeuvres and music by Shelly Jameson and Casey Fink.

The Little Miss Piggy miniature show will open Saturday at The Blue Big Gallery. The show and sale features small works of art created by 40 area artists.
