Classic cars, motorcycles in Fuoco auto show
Row after row after row of shiny chrome and polished metal will be on display during the 11th annual Fuoco Motor Company Downtown Car Show from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, on Main Street.
Up to 180 cars will be on display — antique cars, muscle cars, classic cars and even motorcycles. The award ceremony will be at 2:45 p.m. at Fourth and Main streets.
Car show jacket awards will go to the top 10 cars, decided on by registered participants. Other awards are the Mayor’s Choice, selected by Mayor Bill Pitts; President’s Choice Award, selected by Downtown Association president Kirk Granum; Car Most Likely to Get a Speeding Ticket, selected by Grand Junction Police Department; Car Traveled Most Miles to the Show, selected by the registration information; and Public Choice awards that go to the top two winners, selected by the public vote.
Visitors are encouraged to park in the Rood Avenue parking garage, where parking will be free parking on all floors.
A portion of the proceeds from entry fees will benefit Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado.
