College symphony to play for charity
“Carnival of the Animals,” presented by the Mesa State College Symphony Orchestra, will benefit the Western Slope Center for Children, a nonprofit serving children of sexual abuse.
The family-friendly concert incorporates several pieces that are favorites for children including “Carnival of the Animals” and “Toy Symphony.”
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 19, in the Robinson Theatre in Mesa State College’s Moss Performing Arts Center, 1231 N. 12th St.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students and children.
The Western Slope Center for Children provides collaborative services to child sexual abuse victims in a safe, child-friendly environment. The staff also educates victims and family members about professionals and resources that can help the family heal together.
