Dance Works sets 2 ‘Sleeping Beauty’ performances

Three generations of dancers from one family will be among the more than 150 students involved in Dance Works’ production of the ballet “Sleeping Beauty” set for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 16–17. “Sleeping Beauty” will dance to life in the Dance Works production featuing more than 150 Dance Works students ages 3 and older.

Tchaikovky’s classic ballet will be performed twice — 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 — at Palisade High School auditorium, 3679 G Road, in Palisade.

“This production of the timeless classic children’s ballet features Jalen Onsrud as Princess Aurora, Cece Brennan as The Lilac Fairy, and Ike Fortner as Prince Charming,” according to a news release.

All seating is reserved. Tickets at the door cost $18 for adults and $15 for ages 12 and younger and seniors. Advance tickets are discounted $3 and can be purchased through the Dance Works Facebook page, at danceworksgj.com or at the Dance Works studio, 2586 Patterson Road.
