Dinosaur Days celebrates 26 years
The Museum of Western Colorado will mark its 26th annual Dinosaur Days and you’re invited to the prehistoric party.
The event will begin Friday, Sept. 6, with the Feast of Skulls, from 6–10 p.m. at Dinosaur Journey, 550 Jurassic Court, in Fruita. The event will be catered by Cowboy and the Rose. Cost is $75 per person, $130 for a couple or $600 for a group of 10. Call 242-0971 to register.
The Fruitadens Family Fun Run will lead off the events planned for Saturday, Sept. 7. Registration begins at 7 a.m. for the 5K, which starts at 8 a.m., and the 1-mile run/walk that begins 8:30 a.m. Advance registration costs $25 for adults and $15 for ages 12 and younger. Race-day registration is $5 more.
Dinosaur Days Expedition Quest, a full day of fun for all, runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Dinosaur Journey. Grand Valley Zoological Quest will exhibit snakes, reptiles and birds, and visitors can hang out at the T-Rex Salon that will offer face and hair painting. Don’t miss the Jurassic Labyrinth and Dino Dig Spectacular.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for ages 12 and younger. Attendees of the Feast of Skulls and Fruitadens Family Fun run are admitted free.
