Encana donates $100,000 to Mesa State

Encana Oil & Gas donated $100,000 to Mesa State College during a ceremonial check presentation Wednesday afternoon at the college.

The money will be used for scholarships and program development for the school’s landman and energy-management program.

“This allows us to invest in the future: the future of education, the future of the workforce,” Encana spokesman Doug Hock said during the check presentation.

Mesa State President Tim Foster said the college plans to name a laboratory in the newly-remodeled Wubben Hall and Science Center after Encana.
