Tickets available for concert series’ season
Community Concerts of the Grand Valley is now selling tickets for its 2017–18 season.
The organization is in its 73rd year and will offer a lineup of seven concerts featuring a variety of internationally acclaimed musicians, singers, dancers and theater groups.
Tickets for the season cost $60 for adults or $30 for students. Tickets will increase in cost on July 1 to $70 for adults or $35 for students.

Palisade Art Vision makes call for artists
The Palisade Art Vision has put out a call to artists for its second Public Art Display Program.
Sculptors working in media suitable for outdoor display are encouraged to submit original works to be shown in the 2017–18 exhibit at the corner of Third and South Main streets in Palisade.
There is no fee for entries. Works must be available for purchase.
Application deadline is July 7, and the installation date and unveiling are scheduled for Sept. 9.
‘American Pickers’ seeks collections, stories
Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz from the History Channel’s “American Pickers” show plan to be in Colorado in July and are looking for leads throughout the state.
The documentary series explores the world of antique “picking” and follows the skilled pickers as they hunt for valuable antiques, especially sizeable, unique collections with interesting stories.
