GJ artist part of Nebraska show
Grand Junction artist Cynthia Duff will have her paintings in a show titled “With The Grain” on display April 1–30 at Prairie Winds Art Center in Grand Island, Neb.
A collaborative effort with wood turner Harry Adams of Grand Island, the show features pieces and designs inspired by the grains of wood.
An artist reception is set for 5:30–8:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, in Grand Island.

Dinner part of Fruita Fall Festival celebration
The Fruita Fall Festival celebrates its 100th birthday this year and the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce will offer a monthly event until the festival set for Sept. 26–28.
At each event, participants will receive a playing card, and in July there will be a “Show Your Hand” poker event at the Copper Club.
The March event is a progressive dinner set for Thursday, March 27, at Hot Tomato Pizza, Pablo’s Pizza, End Zone Sports Pub and No Coast Sushi in Fruita. Seatings will be at 5 p.m., 5:45 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce office, 432 E. Aspen Ave. in Fruita.

Space is limited for these workshops and early registration is suggested.
■ Robert Harper Plein Air Workshop, for all levels, April 30 to May 1. Member cost is $215, nonmembers, $240. The membership discount registration deadline is April 18.
■ Joellyn Duesberry Plein Air Workshop, recommended for advanced students, May 21–25. Cost is $425 for members, $460 nonmembers. Membership discount registration deadline is May 1.
■ Pocket Sketching with Kath Macaulay, July 25–27. Cost is $200 members, $235 nonmembers. Membership discount registration deadline is July 1.
