Hospital seeks exihibit art
Family Health West Hospital, through the Fruita Arts and Culture Board, is looking for artists to submit pieces for exhibit at the Family Health West Hospital.
Each piece would be placed in the hospital in six month increments. The goal of the exhibit and art displays in the hospital facility is to create a positive healing environment for patients, staff and public.
The proposals submission deadline is June 9. Artwork may be submitted as images on a CD, thumb drive, or a portfolio (physical binder or folder with photographs of artwork).

New offerings at center
The Art Center, 1803 N. Seventh St., invites the public to visit its bookstore that has been restocked with more than 300 new used books donated by artist, instructor and activist Vera Mulder.
While at The Art Center, make plans to register for summer classes that will start Monday, June 2, or an upcoming workshop. Workshop offerings include a studio in nude figure and instruction time with artists Sara Alyn Oakley and Kath Macaulay.
