Theatre Project performance schedule for 2014-15 set
The Theatre Project announced its 2014–15 Broadway season performances. Here’s the lineup:
■ “Grease,” Sept. 12–20, The Theatre Project Stage.
■ “Cinderella,” Nov. 21–22, Grand Junction High School auditorium.
■ “Oklahoma,” Jan. 23–24, Grand Junction High School auditorium.
■ “Sweeney Todd,” March 13–14, Grand Junction High School auditorium.
■ “Godspell,” July 18–26, 2015, The Theatre Project Stage.
■ “Shrek the Musical,” Dec. 19–20, 2015, Grand Junction High School auditorium.
The shows are by season ticket only and cost $56 for adults, $36 for students and seniors. Season tickets include tickets to four musicals, free popcorn at each performance, no waiting in line and exclusive pre-sale reservation and discounts on added performances.

Store offers crafting events
Michael’s Arts and Crafts, 2464 U.S. Highway 6&50, will offer in-store crafting events for adults and children throughout May, including a free Family Craft Time for Teacher Appreciation Day where kids can make a picture frame for their favorite teacher.

‘Life of Fruita’ photos sought
Amateur and professional photographers are invited to help capture the essence of Fruita for a year-long project titled “A Day in the Life of Fruita” taking place in and around Fruita.
The Fruita Arts and Culture Board is hosting the third of four Day in the Life of Fruita events as a way to gather images of the people, scenery and generally capture the funkiness of Fruita All photos must be taken between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. Saturday, May 17. Each photographer will be asked to submit their favorite photos to the Arts and Culture Board digitally by Monday, June 9. The board will select at least one from each photojournalist to be used in the September–November Art Display at the Fruita Community Center.
Photographers will be asked to meet at noon May 17 for lunch and to share stories about their picture-taking experiences. The registration fee to participate is $5, and includes lunch at a location to be determined.
