Monument art sought for exhibit
The Colorado National Monument Association, in partnership with the city of Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture and National Park Service have put out a call for entries for the Monumental Art Exhibit that will be on display Jan. 10 through March 31 at City Hall, 250 N. Fifth St.
Artists are invited to enter paintings, drawings, photography or 3-D art that depict the unique wildlife, landscapes or features of Colorado National Monument.
The deadline to enter is Dec. 2. Fifty pieces will be selected by jurors Charity Finnigsmier, Lancer Livermont and Judy Dyrud.

Artwork needed for center’s sale
The Art Center staff is collecting artwork for sale in its “Not So Starving Artist Sale” set for Friday through Sunday, Nov. 22–24, during The Art Centers Art and Craft Fair.
Collage, pottery, paintings, handmade boxes/collages and trinkets will be accepted through Friday, Nov. 15. Take donations to The Art Center front desk, 1803 N. Seventh St.

Store hosts Pinterest crafting parties
Michaels stores will host “Don’t Just Pin It, Make it Your Own” Pinterest parties from 1–4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at all stores.
Customers can browse Michaels’ inspired-by-Pinterest displays for project inspiration, then meet and craft with a Michaels craft expert who can help them create their own versions.
