Messiah solo auditions upcoming
Solo auditions for the Messiah Sing-a-Long are set for 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 17, at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 599 30 Road.
The sing-a-long will be from 2–3 p.m. Dec. 1 at the church. The public is invited to attend and sing (no auditions required) or come to listen.

Fine Art Auction seeks entries
The Art Center has put out a call for entries for the 15th annual US Bank Fine Art Auction on May 3.
The Fine Art Auction is The Art Center’s largest fundraiser of the year, featuring silent and live auctions.
Fine art to be considered are paintings, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, weaving, fine art photographs, fine art jewelry, sculptural or functional wood art, fine art stained glass and blown glass and fine art embroidery and beadwork. Prints made by giclée, offset lithography or digitally enhanced means (except art photography) will not be considered fine art and will not be accepted.
The postmark deadline for mailed submissions is Feb. 4. Hand-delivered submissions are due by 4 p.m. Feb. 8.

New Year’s opera tickets on sale
Tickets are available for High Desert Opera’s presentation of “I Do! I Do!”, on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, and Jan. 5, at Avalon Theatre, 645 Main St.
Tickets are $10–$39 for adults and $10–$35 for those younger than 13 or older than 55.
