Former DA faces domestic violence charge

ALAMOSA — A former district attorney and his wife are facing charges following a report of a domestic dispute.

According to the Alamosa Valley Courier, authorities took Peter Comar into custody on suspicion of attempting to influence a public servant and resisting arrest on Sunday. They also arrested his wife, Yvonne Comar, on suspicion of domestic violence and harassment.

Police say they were called to investigate a large family disturbance.

Comar did not return a phone call Wednesday seeking comment.
