Fruita to host 23rd edition of Dinosaur Days

The days of the dinosaurs are not extinct in Fruita.

The 23rd annual Dinosaur Days is set for Friday and Saturday, July 23–24, at Dinosaur Journey Museum, 550 Jurassic Court.

A VIP reception, catered by Cowboy and the Rose, is from 6:30–8:30 p.m. Friday, July 23. Cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple. Call 242-0971 for reservations.

After the reception, there will be a free dance from 8–10 p.m. in the museum parking lot featuring Stray Grass. Take a lawn chair and enjoy the free music.

Lace up your running shoes early Saturday, July 24, for the Pteranodon Ptrot 5K and 10K Run. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. Cost is $25. The race begins at 7:30 a.m.

Admission to Dinosaur Journey Museum will be $1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and “Great Harlini” magic shows and dinosaur movies will be from 12:30–4 p.m.
