Fruita to salute Bikes, Bands and Brews
Get dirty in Fruita at Bikes, Bands and Brews happening Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14–15, in Fruita’s Civic Center Park.
Vendor booths and the Rotary Beer Garden will open at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Pineapple Crackers will play for the Dirt Dance from 7–9 p.m. Friday, with donations going to Family Health West. There will be activities for kids, food and craft vendors.
On Saturday, the Rotary Club Beer Booth will be open from noon to 8 p.m. and vendor booths and music will begin at noon.
Local bands — The Williams Brothers Band, The Calamity Cubes, Willie Tea Taylor, Tom VandenAvond, Lowlands and Almost Heroes — are scheduled to perform beginning at noon Saturday on the stage in Civic Center Park.
A 5K run will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with registration from 8–9:30 p.m. Cost is $10 and includes a T-shirt and goodie bag. Call Chris at Single Tracks, 858-3917, for information on the 5K.
The Fruita Gold Bicycle Poker Run will start at noon Saturday, Register Saturday at Single Tracks.
