Get ready for summer at Outdoor Fest
Gear up to get outdoors with the Humphrey RV Western Slope Outdoor Fest.
The third annual event will go from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at Edgewater Brewery, 905 Struthers Ave. Admission is free.
More than 40 gear vendors from the outdoor industry will be at the event, displaying boatloads of bikes, rafts, kayaks, climbing gear, hunting and fishing gear, skis, snowboards, campers and boats.
And there will be beer and bands, too. Lincoln Pants Band will take the stage outside the brewery from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday followed by Sixteen Forty from 3:30–6 p.m.
The Grand Junction Shimmy Mob will make an appearance around 12:30 p.m. Donations to the dancers will go to Hilltops Latimer House.
The Tamarisk Coalition also will benefit from sales made during the event which will include the silent auction of items donated by participating vendors.
Many Rivers Brewery will be the Guest Tap Takeover and will donate proceeds to the Tamarisk Coalition. And Bray Real Estate will have $10 commemorative pint glasses for sale as another way to support the Tamarisk Coalition. Your first beer is free with the purchase of a glass and happy hour prices are offered throughout the fest on Many Rivers Brewing brew.
Edgewater Brewery also will serve beer, drinks, food and barbecue, and will reveal its new outdoor brick pizza oven.
Kid’s activities will be hosted by Cabela’s (archery shoot) and Bray Real Estate (cornhole/yard games) and prizes will be raffled throughout the day.
