Governor, new senator to visit GJ

DENVER — Gov. Bill Ritter will visit Grand Junction on Monday to discuss the state’s economic situation and introduce Michael Bennet, his pick to succeed U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar, D-Colo.

Ritter and Bennet will appear at Mesa State College’s Science Center, Room SL 100, 1100 North Ave. from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Evan Dreyer, spokesman for the governor, said the governor’s stop at Mesa State College will bring his State of the State address to the people.
