‘High School Chronicles’ locally written, arranged

Local writers Theresa and Lissie Bloom have teamed up to write an entertaining musical about being in high school.

The musical, “It’s All About Me: The High School Chronicles,” is on stage 10 times this month at the Roper Music Ballroom, which is located above Roper Music, 136 N. Fifth St.

The show features teenage actors from across the Grand Valley. The musical looks at common themes of growing up with such songs as, “Raging Hormone Hell,” “GJ 81501” and “What Do I Believe?”

Local musician Dennis Woodrich arranged the musical pieces in the show.

Tickets for the musical are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, students and those with military identification.

Proceeds from the show will benefit area nonprofit organizations: Military Families of America, Grand Junction High School Music programs, HOSA/FBLA student organizations and Creative Avenues Youth Theatre programs.

Tickets are available at the door or by calling 256-0899. E-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for more information.

Shows are at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 4, June 6 and June 9–12.

Additional matinees are at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, and June 12.
