How do you like your jazz — funky, jazzy or swinging?

Or, all of the above?

Head to the 23rd annual Downtown Grand Junction Art and Jazz Festival from Friday through Sunday, May 6–8, in the 200–300 blocks of Main Street.

More than 50 artist booths will line Main Street, from Second Street to Fourth Street. There will be food vendors, beer from Rockslide Brew Pub and wine from Talon Wine Brands.

The festival also is a good opportunity to look over the 12 new sculpture additions to the Art on the Corner Exhibit. Knit on the Corner also will return to the festival for a second year, featuring knitted material on street fixtures.

The music stage will be set up at Fourth and Main streets. Here is the lineup and festival hours:

Funky Friday, May 6, will go from 4–10 p.m.: Central High School Jazz Band, 4 p.m.; Miss Emily and Project Groove, 6 p.m.; and Buckner Funken Jazz, 8 p.m.

Jazzy Saturday, May 7, will go from noon to 10 p.m.: Fruita Monument High School Jazz Band, noon; Bill Richardson Trio, 2 p.m.; Frank Bregar Orchestra, 4 p.m.; Max Wagner Quartet, 6 p.m.; and Hazel Miller Band, 8 p.m.
