KAFM show shines spotlight on regional venues, bands

Lowlands performs for the show “Broaden Your Bandwidth” at KAFM 88.1. The monthly show features local bands performing live.

A new local radio show has surfaced to give regional venues and bands an on-air platform.

The show, “Broaden Your Bandwidth,” airs at 5:30 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month on KAFM 88.1.

The show’s format may vary, but the basic format is approximately 45 minutes of live music, preceded by about 15 minutes with a representative from a regional music venue, said KAFM program director Dustin Coren.

Coren wants “Broaden Your Bandwidth” to connect local KAFM listeners with regional music in a unique live experience, he said.

Bands or venue representatives interested in appearing on “Broaden Your Bandwidth” can contact programmer Boyd Franklin, aka The Harley Rider, at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
