King ‘n Trio open music series
The Hear it Through the Grapevine summer concert series will return Friday, June 1, at Grande River Vineyards and this year’s lineup offers seven benefit concerts with music ranging from jazz to Latin and bluegrass to classical.
All the concerts will be at the vineyard, 787 N. Elberta, in Palisade. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will be at 7:30 p.m., rain or shine.
Take a chair and picnic. Dinner is available to purchase, as is wine by the bottle or glass, soft drinks and water. No beverages many be brought in.
The opening concert, Friday, June 1, will feature King ‘n Trio with proceeds benefiting the Avalon Renovation Project. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
Other concerts in the series are:
■ Saturday, June 30 — Stray Grass, $15 advance/$20 at the door, benefit for Roice-Hurst Humane Society.
■ Saturday, July 7 — Skean Dubh (Celtic/folk music), $15 advance/$20 at the door, benefit for Community Hospital.
■ Saturday, July 14 — Quemando, $18 advance/$20 at the door, benefit for Child and Migrant Services.
■ Friday, July 20 — Astroreck (rock band and vocalists of GJ Rockestra), $15 advance/$20 at the door, benefit for Colorado Mesa University Music Program and Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra.
■ Saturday, July 28 — Imagine Beatles, $20 advance/$25 at the door, benefits Colorado State University Tree Fruit Program.
■ Saturday, Aug. 11 — Hazel Miller, $20 advance and at the door, benefits Mesa County Partners.
