Lines West: Life

Life

A freshly mown field,

The stillness of the forest,

A lily pad lazily floating down a river,

The rustling of soft leaves,

The lap of murky water,

The splash of a rainbow trout,

The rancid taste of cabbage,

The sour taste of apples,

The dilapidated taste of stringy celery,

The soft feel of a cornhusk,

The delicate feel of an aspen leaf,

The thorny poke of a cactus,

Green makes you appreciate nature,

Green makes you feel whole.
