Lines West: ‘My Poem Poem’

My Poem Poem

I write this poem to give you,

‘Cause you force us to write stuff,

so that’s what I’m going to do

even though my writing is rough.

It’s hard for me to write.

It’s not easy for me.

Oh, wait can it be?!

I’m writing right now!  Isn’t that cool?

Thanks to my writing class, at school.

I can now write whatever I feel.

Isn’t that a cool little deal?

Even though I am stuck,

I have to say you’re out of luck

‘Cause this is what I’m turning in.

I’ll turn in more, but not sure when.

I worked on this a long, long, time,

and I even made sure to make it rhyme

so you would look past how bad it is.

There, this is my poem, take it how it ‘tis.
