Look Out! Jamie’s black and white ensemble

For Jamie, couture is out and practicality is in. “But it’s got to look expensive,” she said.

Scene: Jamie, the marketing, sales and event coordinator for Two Rivers Convention Center, was meeting with clients to finalize event details for the busy holiday and party season.

Style: Jamie’s job can be physically rigorous. Couple that with raising a mini-me 2-year-old named Piper and couture is out and practicality is in. “But it’s got to look expensive,” she said.

On this day, “The whole ensemble, including shoes, is from Target, the Mossimo collection.” She accessorized with an infinity scarf from T.J. Maxx and a black hair clip with a tidy bow. Black and white is a practical color combination for event staff because it fades into the background and doesn’t compete with event decor.

Fashion sense: Her wardrobe may be thrifty, but Jamie’s taste in jewelry is top shelf. Her husband, Galen, only buys her pieces from Tiffany’s, including this silver bracelet with a heart. He also bought her a charm bracelet with a “marry me” charm when they became engaged and a teddy bear charm when Piper was born.
