Scene: While at The Daily Sentinel for a business meeting, Miranda toured the three-story printing press facilities. “I’m a print geek,” she confessed.
Style: Layering and mixing tailored and unstructured pieces gives Miranda a funky but still pulled-together career look. Her $24 denim jacket (“a standby”) is from Old Navy, her pencil skirt is from Express, her earrings are from Target, and her wedge boots are UGGs. Her T-shirt, with a Bison Brand Potatoes logo, is by local designer Julie Tierney, a former contestant on “Project Runway,” who describes her fashion-forward Western style as “Ameri-f’n-cana.”
Fashion sense: Miranda loves wearing Nixon watches, a California company that combines a boarding/surfing sensibility with an eye for detail.
Because a watch, like a wedding ring, is an accessory you wear every day, it ought to “bring a little something to the party,” Miranda said.
