Love to be presented in variety of forms during Art Center’s Second Saturdays event
What’s love got to do with it?
Plenty.
Proverbial meanings of love, as well as unconventional concepts of love will be presented in a Second Saturdays evening of poetry, play vignettes, short stories, dance music and the visual arts.
Expressions of Love Through the Arts, focusing on the concept of “what love is,” will be from 6–8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at The Art Center, 1803 N. Seventh St.
Participating poets will be Suzanne Bronson, Jill Burkey, Frank Coons, T.J. Gerlach, Jennifer Hancock, Fredrick Lu, Marjorie Montgomery and Phyllis Moorman. Visual arts will be presented by Martha McCoy and Patrick Metoyer, and vocalist Maggie Lopez and violinist Isadora Nizalowski will perform.
Love in the form of food and drink (a chocolate bar and cash bar) will be available.
The event is free and open to the public. Some content may be in adult nature and perhaps not suitable for children and young adults.
