LS: Kids pick favorite candy for Halloween
Don’t be Goobers; buy the candy kids actually want in their trick or treat bags this Halloween.
This is your go-to candy buying guide courtesy of a poll conducted by The Daily Sentinel (full disclosure — we bribed kids with candy to participate).
So, was candy or chocolate the favorite?
Forty-two children between the ages of 3 and 15 at Creative Avenues, an arts and education enrichment center in Grand Junction, participated in the poll. Skittles overwhelmingly won.
The younger kiddos preferred the Superhero Candy Sticks (it’s all about packaging), while the older kids went for the chocolate and chewy candy.
A few write-in side votes included taffy, more chocolate, 3 Musketeers candy bars, Whoppers malt balls and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
“It tastes good and I like it.”
“I just really, really, really like chocolate, anything with chocolate.”
“ ’Cause I went to Las Vegas and they have all kinds of M&Ms.”
