Marine to perform at MSC

Staff Sgt. Joseph DeLuccio, guest for Oboe Day Festival at Mesa State College.

After a day of masters classes, Mesa State College will end its Oboe Day Festival with a concert featuring an oboe and English horn player from the United States Marine Band.

Staff Sgt. Joseph DeLuccio will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, in the Recital Hall of Mesa State’s Moss Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are $10 for adults,  $8 for seniors and $5 for students and children.

“The President’s Own” Marine Band was founded in 1798 and has performed for every U.S. president since John Adams, according to a news release.

Oboe Day, for students of all ages and experience, will offer masters classes in oboe and English horn technique and reed making.
