Movies Under the Stars season opens

The 2013 season of Movies Under the Stars, hosted by the Glade Park Volunteer Fire Department, will start on Friday, June 7, behind the fire department at 16400 DS Road on Glade Park.

The concession stand will open each Friday of the season at 5:30 p.m. and the grill will fire up at 6 p.m. offering burgers, hot dogs and Polish sausage. Live pre-movie entertainment will start at 7 p.m. and there also will be children’s games, volleyball and hay rides.

■ June 14: “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian,” PG, entertainment by Susan Cypher & the Nightbird.

■ June 21: “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted,” PG, entertainment by Sagebrush & Heather.

■ June 28: “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey,” G, entertainment by Gary Parkerson.

■ July 5: No movie.

■ July 12: “Flicka: Country Pride,” G, entertainment by Chatfield Country Kickers.

■ July 19: “Thor,” PG-13, entertainment by KEKB, Operation Interdependence and Willy Wanna Jump.

■ July 26: “Brave,” PG-13, entertainment by Highland Rogues.

■ Aug. 2: “Hidalgo,” PG-13, entertainment by Tracy and Blaine Scott and their horses.

■ Aug. 9: “The Adventures of Tintin,” PG-13, entertainment by Math and Science Center and Mesa County Safety Trailer.

■ Aug. 16: “Rio,” G, entertainment by Landslide.

■ Aug. 23: “Real Steel,” PG-13, entertainment by Deb Bukala.

■ Aug. 30: “The Karate Kid,” PG, entertainment by Sagebrush & Heather.
