Music Scene: Jan. 3–9

Naggy McGee’s Irish Pub will offer a bit of reggae with its Irish fare when it welcomes Denver-based band Skin Your Teeth to its stage at 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at 359 Colorado Ave.

Playing reggae, dub and ska, Skin Your Teeth has been featured in Colorado’s Music Buzz Magazine, according to the band’s Facebook “about” link.

“With their conscience lyrics combined with a funky reggae/dub inspired rhythm, Skin Your Teeth breaths fire into this instrumental fusion creating an intoxicating energy that resonates within in the body and mind and enriches the soul,” the Facebook link says.

The band’s Revernation bio adds that Skin Your Teeth’s “rich, catchy melodies, rough neck rhythms, and intelligent, conscious lyrics has fans humming their tunes hours after the show stops.”

Skin Your Teeth’s two members are Remy Mark on bass and vocals, and Wyatt Trigg on lead guitar, vocals and lyrics.

“Always getting people on their feet, these guys play the kind of instrumental fusion that most cannot resist.”

Call Naggy McGee’s at 424-5840 or see the band’s Facebook and Twitter pages for information.
