Professor, author and performer Martin Schuring will bring a program of oboe music to Colorado Mesa University in a Guest Artist Recital.
This performance from the Arizona State University music professor will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, in the Recital Hall of the Moss Performing Arts Center, 1231 N. 12th St.

He has played at a number of music festivals and “since 1980, Schuring has been a regular participant at the Grand Teton Music Festival, playing English horn and oboe in the festival orchestra, as well as making frequent appearances on the festival’s chamber music series,” the release said.
Schuring also is the author of “Oboe Art and Method” from Oxford University Press.
