The Delta Bombers are four musicians from Las Vegas who have performed together since their teens"smashing stages all over the world.”

The rockabilly and psychobilly band will play at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at Cruisers Bar, 715 Horizon Drive.

Fronted by the “haunting but powerful voice of Chris Moinichen,” The Delta Bombers have been touring since 2008 “with no plans of stopping” according to the band’s Facebook page.

The Delta Bombers are “driven by a hybrid of ‘50s rock ‘n’ roll fused with blues and the most exciting elements of rockabilly,” the page says.

Moinichen is joined by Andrew Himmler on guitar, Greg Garcia on stand-up bass and Kirk Highberger on drums.

The Grand Junction stop is part of The Delta Bombers’ two-month, cross-country tour that will begin at Cruisers and continue at venues in the Southwest, Midwest, Southern and New England states before finishing in Seattle at the end of February.

Over the years, the band has toured to far-away venues in Russia and the Czech Republic in support of four studio albums, and “have played some of the most renowned rockabilly and psychobilly festivals including Viva Las Vegas, Psychobilly Meeting (Spain), Rockalavera (Mexico), Sjock (Belgium) and High Rockabilly (Spain),” the band’s Facebook page says.

Call Cruisers at 314-2554 for information about the show.
