The Lindells, a husband and wife duo performing “Americana music from the rural underground,” will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in the KAFM Radio Room, 1310 Ute Ave.
Together for more than 30 years, Kim and Chris Lindell have been writing and singing together since they were in high school, according to their bio at lindellsmusic.com.
The couple lists Dolores as their hometown on Facebook, and perform “a blend of roots-rock, folk and blues with a steady, underlying backbeat to nail down their high country rhythm and groove,” a news release said..
Chris plays electric and acoustic guitar, Kim plays the electric bass and guitar, and together they produce a sound that has “their voices wrapping around each other in supple harmony,” a news release said.
The Lindells were named finalists in the band competition at the 1999 Telluride Bluegrass Festival and “have a diverse and dedicated group of fans,” their bio says.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. for the show featuring the Lindells with special guest Steve Kilcrease.
