Music Scene: ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas’ concert and other area shows for Dec. 2–8

Something has upset Santa and it’s up to his elves to cheer him up and assure Christmas will happen this year.

The Grand Mesa Chorus Sweet Adelines and Del-Rose Sweet Adeline Chorus will present the musical stage production “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in the Love Recital Hall at Colorado Mesa University’s Moss Performing Arts Center, 1231 N. 12th St.

Pat Butcher will star as the voice of Santa, in this musical comedy, written and staged by Colette Mayers. Music guests will be Ken Dravis, Harley Galbisini (winner of Grand Mesa Chorus’ 2016–17 scholarship), East Middle School’s eighth-grade choir and the quartets Kickback and Cover Charge.

Advance tickets cost $12 for adults, $10 seniors and students, or $5 for ages 12 and younger. Advance tickets can be purchased from any Sweet Adeline member or at Roper’s Music, Back Porch Music, The Shade Tree and Hart’s Music.

Tickets purchased at the door will cost an additional $2.
