Elvis is in the building.

Community Concerts of the Grand Valley will present its next concert in the 2016–17 series featuring the world’s Ultimate Elvis Tribute artist, Shawn Klush.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Grand Junction High School auditorium, 1400 N. Fifth St.

“Born and raised in the small coal-mining town of Pittston, Pennsylvania, Shawn’s love for music led him to begin imitating his musical idol, Elvis Presley,” says the bio at shawnklush.com.

After winning a “Worldwide Elvis Competition” in Montreal, he performed in the award-winning Las Vegas show “Legends in Concert” and took the show to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Las Vegas; Branson, Missouri; and Atlantic City, New Jersey. He performs each January in the “Elvis Birthday Tribute Tour” that commemorates The King’s birthday at major venues in multiple cities, according to shawnklush.com.

Klush portrayed Elvis Presley in the HBO drama series “Vinyl” that was produced by Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger and appeared as “The King” in the TV miniseries “Shake, Rattle and Roll” that aired on both CBS and VH1.

Community Concerts of the Grand Valley is a member-based concert series; however, individual concert tickets can be purchased on a will call basis at communityconcertsgrandvalley.org or by calling 243-1979. Individual tickets cost $25 for adults or $15 for students.
